POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Consumer Loan Processor
GRADE LEVEL: VIII
DEPARTMENT: Consumer Lending
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports directly to: Consumer Lending & Asset Recovery Manager
Function: Performs administrative and clerical duties to process and document loans according to credit union policy and regulatory guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:

2. Explain loan programs to members, evaluating their needs and recommending loan options.
3. Process application and verify accuracy; conduct loan interviews with members.
4. Assist members and employees with problems or questions regarding lending services.
5. Complete loan documents and disburse loans.
6. Check documents for proper security interest, legal description, closing date and signatures
7. Provide clerical support for Home Equity Lending, Indirect Lending and Auto Draft Programs including updating loan data in the credit union’s computer systems.
8. Maintain a tracking system & procedures to monitor that the required documentation is received & maintained according to policies and procedures.
9. Perform quality control for loan closed at branches, e-signatures and Indirect Dealers.
10. Ensure that the documentation of credit union security interest is accurate and up to date.
11. Monitor and prepare releases and other paperwork for paid loans.
12. Assist members in filing Life, Disability and Gap Insurance Claims
13. Review and process mail, ensuring information and documents are properly processed and filed.
14. Handles gathering and reporting of HMDA Information to Government
15. Scan and maintain loan related documents in optical storage system
16. Order, Stock and maintain adequate supplies for the Lending Area
17. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Positions Specifications
Education: Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
Advanced course work in Lending Regulations and Policies
Experience: Five years to seven years experience in a processing capacity.
Some supervisory experience.
Skills: PC literate. Proficient in Word, Excel, Lending Software.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to collect and analyze data.
Strong problem-solving/decision-making skills.
