Job Description
The Associate Director, Instrumentation and Controls plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of multiple capital projects related to Instrumentation and Control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with local business leaders and project teams to define the scope of instrumentation and control system hardware necessary for capital projects.
- Review and approval of engineering drawings: Critically review and approve electrical and loop drawings for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) process and utility equipment.
- Standards education: Provide guidance and education to local project teams on automation standards.
- Liaison with engineering teams: Maintain a close working relationship with GES engineers, Engineering Contractors, skid suppliers, and instrumentation vendors.
- Factory acceptance testing participation: Actively participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) at skid suppliers and OEMs as necessary.
- Field grounding checks: Ensure that field grounding checks of DeltaV control panels are conducted prior to the power-up phase.
- Loop checks and drawing verification: Assist with loop checks and verify drawings during Automation IQ testing as required for certain projects.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum requirement: BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree
- Minimum 7 years of experience
