The Associate Principal Scientist, Engineering will play a key role in driving the development and implementation of cell culture-based commercial manufacturing processes for vaccines and biologics. This individual will lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful technology transfer, scale-down model qualification, and process characterization. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing process development strategies to drive process improvements and innovation
- Providing technical guidance and leadership to junior staff members
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure successful project outcomes
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement process development strategies for cell culture-based commercial manufacturing
- Leverage expertise in mammalian cell culture processing of biologics to drive process improvements and innovation
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure successful technology transfer, scale-down model qualification, and process characterization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biological Engineering, or a related field
- 8 years of technical expertise in cell culture and fermentation sciences, leadership, and project management
- Strong fundamental knowledge and subject matter expertise in mammalian cell culture processing of biologics
- Experience authoring technical documentation in support of regulatory submissions (BLA/MAA/JNDA etc.)
