At Merck, we seek a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our clinical trials efforts.

About the Role

• The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning and management of clinical trials, including study design, trial management, and interpretation of results from a medical perspective.
• We require a cost-effective approach to development plan activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a cross-functional team to define clinical trial activities that support our overall program strategy.
• Lead the planning and management of clinical trials, including study design, trial management, and interpretation of results from a medical perspective.
• Develop a cost-effective approach to development plan activities.

Requirements

• Hold a Medical Degree (mandatory).
• Have at least 2 years experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including knowledge of regulatory requirements in clinical development.
• Possess Board certification or expertise in related Immunology/Dermatology field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Demonstrate strong medical writing skills.

Professional Experience

• Bring substantial professional experience in Immunology/Dermatology, including clinical trials.
• Experience in design, set up, conduct, and evaluation of clinical trials.
• Proven ability to work in a cross-functional multi-site team environment.

• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentations to internal and external parties.
