Responsibilities:


Energy Trading Settlement Activities:


  • Prepare energy settlements related to energy management agreements, bilateral power, transmission charges, ISOs, and/or internal transactions with complex trade components.
  • Knowledge of electric power markets - ISO/RTO’s including ERCOT, CAISO, MISO, PJM, NYISO and SPP.
  • Timely and accurate settlement of physical and financial energy trading activity including the resolution of aged balances.
  • Resolve and explain prior period adjustments.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings (EIA, FERC etc.).
  • Follow internal control procedures to ensure proper documentation and information accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with counterparties and internal contacts with timely responses to requests for information and research.
  • Provide Settlements subject matter expertise for new activity integration projects.


Technical qualifications:


Minimum Requirements:


  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Strong technical, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of Bilateral Power and/or ISO Settlement experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO/RTO portals.
  • Experience with ISO/Power Management/Shadow Settlement software (APX, PowerOptix, Adapt2, PCI).

  • Effective communication at all levels of the firm.
