Team Lead/Forklift Operator

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $DOE per hour

PLUS Reliability Incentive additional $2.50/hr

PLUS $2,000 New Hire Bonus

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Night Shift
• HOURS: 4PM-4:00AM
• 1st Week- Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, 2nd Week- Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

1. PURPOSE:

· Leads the day-to-day activities assigned to teams in the warehouses to ensure compliance requirements in accordance with established company policies and procedures. These include coordinating and directing: The unloading orderly stacking and storage of product, as well as the staging and loading of outbound shipments.

· Ensure that all Sample shipping orders from Customer service is processed and shipped accurately and in a timely manner.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensures assigned teams of all shipments.

· Motivates employees using sound techniques to achieve the highest possible levels of productivity.

· Coordinates daily activities of Process Improvement Analysis.

· Oversees the loading, unloading, movement, and distribution of materials.

· Determines appropriate storage locations and oversees placement of stock.

· Receiving shipment of overseas containers and shipments from OEM.

· Analyze Inventory movement and transactions.

· Track and complete the intercompany transactions.

· Maintains warehouse arrangement and maximizes space utilization to accommodate current stock.

· Operates material handling equipment used in receipt, storage, and shipment of goods within warehouse areas.

· Leads and assists shipping and receiving workers in shipping and receiving activities.

· Prepares items for shipment including all LTL orders.

· Monitors incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of the shipments.

· Consults with management to clarify department priorities, identify problems, and suggest changes for improvement.

· Determines shipping priorities and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.

· Operates a label-printing machine and manually label boxes as needed in order to ensure proper shipping and receiving.

· Utilizes forklifts or other warehouse equipment in order to supply production and/or facilitate shipping.

· Performs final quality check/inspection for accuracy and visible damage prior to shipment to customer.

· Other Duties as assigned by Supervisor.

3*. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:*

Internal: Distribution Department, Plant Operations, Maintenance, Accounting, and Administrative Staff.

External: Outside vendors.

4. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience Background:

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

· Knowledge in the use of Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

· Experience in WMS systems specifically, SAP.

· Experience with the shipment of LTL carriers.

· Ability to Train, Lead, Build, Motivate, and Manage Staff.

· Experience in conflict management and resolution.

· Ability to work under pressure and maintain professional attitude in stressful situations.

· Experience in training and teaching new procedures as projects arise.

Skills and Knowledge:

· Strong computer skills in (Microsoft Excel, Word Outlook and PowerPoint).

· Strong drive for results and execution skills.

· Coaching and development skills.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Certified on fork trucks and possess excellent forklift driving skills with a strong commitment to safety and good manufacturing practices.

· Ability to perform multiple tasks in fast-paced environment.

· Competent in math and writing skills.

· Good communication skills and mechanical aptitude.

· Able to adapt to a constantly changing environment.

5. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

· Must be flexible and responsive to the needs of the department/ business. Including covering at multiple locations.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

· Must be able to work 8–12 hours per shift.

· Must be able to sit, bend, stand and walk during scheduled shifts.
