Cost Accountant I - Phoenix, AZ

Job Summary:

Mercury Systems is seeking an entry level Cost Accounting Analyst to play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy of product costs within Mercury's standard cost-based facilities. This position is integral to ensuring the company's compliance with audit and SOX requirements.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Setting up standard costs for new items
• Conducting Bill of Materials (BOM) and Routing cost rolls as necessary for new items and cost updates
• Maintaining and aligning Intercompany costs for plant to plant sales within Mercury
• Scheduling weekly closure of Work Orders (WO)
• Performing monthly journal entries to rectify GL account string errors
• Providing support for the work-in-progress (WIP) Inventory Cycle count process
• Distributing simple inventory reports to end users
• Assisting in Forecasting Spending for our facilities Departments

Required Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• 2 years related work experience or a GPA of 3.65 or greater from a recent graduate
• Any exposure to programming languages (SQL, VBA etc) a plus
• Strong Attention to detail

Preferred Qualification:

• Large ERP platform Experience desired (Oracle, SAP etc.)

• This position is hybrid; Candidate must live in a commutable distance to one of the following locations:
  • Phoenix, AZ or
  • Andover, MA
