Conduct routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures and practices.
Job Responsibility:
- Participate in the investigation of incidents, near misses and property damage incidents
- Ensure follow-up is done to minimize future exposure and proper records/documents are maintained
- Lead, develop, conduct or coordinate and track training to support company EHS programs
- Conduct routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures and practices
- Maintain internal and regulatory reporting including data collection and reporting including but not limited to air, storm water and surface water discharge
- Ensure the company meets all its legislative compliance obligations with OSHA, EPA, ADEQ, ADA, and fire codes
- Serve as the site contact for all regulatory agencies for inspections, permitting, reporting (air, water, waste)
- Support company Environmental Social Governance policy and reporting requirements
- Keep abreast of any safety and environmental law or regulation changes that affect the organization
- Participate in manufacturing meetings and champion workplace safety and regulatory concerns and opportunities
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with operations, managers, supervisors and employees
- Keep the site Manufacturing Operations Leaders and Human Resources up to date on matters relating to, environmental, health and safety
- Work on special projects as required
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for Environmental, Health and Safety
- Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to be on call or work off hours as needed
- Demonstrated ability to develop and lead initiatives and work with senior leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with local regulatory agencies
- Ability to develop and lead EHS training programs
- Strong crisis management and leadership skills
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders and provide leadership on EHS situations which could have significant impact to site operations
- Extensive Functional/Technical Knowledge of EHS rules and issues related to office and manufacturing space
- Strong analytical/problem solving and decision making leading to developing an educational and training program globally
- Ability to build effective OSHA safety programs, improving safety culture and reducing accidents and injuries
- Ability to complete complex projects and assignments with limited instruction or supervision
- Ability to take necessary steps to ensure a safe work environment for all employees
- Travel required up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field
- EHS Certifications with expanded work experience would be considered
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Registered Environmental Manager (REM) or equivalent

- Constant movement and use of limbs. Specific abilities required by this job include prolonged sitting, twisting and working under a microscope for long periods of time will be required. Occasional Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and gripping is required daily.
- Frequently observe, detect, discern, and convey information. Specific abilities required by this job include near, far and color vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Ability to safely control surgical razor blades and small hand tools used to manipulate tuning stub under a microscope. Specific abilities required by this job include the frequent requirement of overtime work.
