This outpatient position is essential to delivering trauma-informed treatment, psychiatric diagnoses, and medication management to underserved children and adolescents in an urban Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). What You Will Do
- Provide integrated behavioral health care to children and adolescents.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, primary care, dental, and vision providers.
- Supervise and work alongside psychiatric nurses and mid-level providers.
- Participate in health fairs or community events 3-4 times annually.
- Actively contribute to a culture of sensitivity and inclusion.
- Medical degree from a school recognized by the Georgia Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry by the ABMS and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
- Completion of an ACGME-certified Psychiatry residency program, with experience serving disadvantaged or special needs populations.
- Unrestricted Georgia medical license and ability to drive in the state.
- Experience working with mental illness, substance use disorders, and in multidisciplinary settings.
