Mercy Hospital - Springfield Emergency Medicine Medical Director Opportunity
Mercy Hospital - Springfield is recruiting a medical director emergency medicine physician! A minimum of 2-3 years leadership experience is preferred. We are a stable, hospital-employed group of approximately 40 emergency physicians. Mercy Springfield is one of the busiest and largest emergency departments in the Midwest with around 90,000 annual visits, level I trauma for both Missouri and Arkansas, and comprehensive, tertiary healthcare services for a three-hour radius and over 1.5M lives. This opportunity will be a 50 / 50 mix of administrative and clinical.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with nursing staff, hospital leadership, and consulting services to drive excellence in clinical operations.
- Facilitate the execution of hospital and departmental quality initiatives, patient satisfaction measures, and operational goals.
- Lead, design, and implement strategies aimed at improving processes and optimizing care delivery within the ED.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability among clinical staff and operational teams.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment and shared objectives.
