The incumbent maintains and documents all clinical equipment within any assigned facility. The position requires a working knowledge of hospital engineering functions.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance and periodic safety inspections of all clinical devices, as required by JCAHO; NFPA and all State Health safety codes and other applicable regulations within estimated time frames
- Assumes responsibility for documenting and maintaining orderly records on all inspections, tests, repair or modifications of clinical equipment
- Performs inspections of new clinical equipment ensuring safety and physical integrity completing required documentation
Qualifications
Required:
2 years Biomedical engineering technician in a hospital setting
2 year degree in Electronics
California state driver's license with no moving violations or accidents in the two prior years
Pay Range
$61.86 - $61.86 /hour
