Responsibilities
The Certified Wound Wound Ostomy (CWON, WOCN) is responsible for:
**Also this position requires CWON/WOCN certification, however WCC (wound care certification) may be accepted if significant experience as WCC and progression to WOCN certification
- Consultative assessment and following of wounds, and developing a plan of care for treatment of the wound based on NPIAP guidelines and hospital wound care policy.
- Advanced wound care treatment including Mist therapy, Wound vac initiation and maintenance, and sharp debridement when appropriate.
- Developing and coordinating the hospital's care on new and existing ostomy care for patients.
- Establishing standards of care and clinical competencies to meet patient needs and training to ensure clinical expertise.
- Collaborating with bedside nursing staff and medical staff to ensure the appropriate care and competency is delivered to the patient with regard to wounds and ostomy.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year experience as an RN in med/surg acute care setting
- WOCN or WCC certification required
- RN, BLS
- Other certifications may be required

$67.57 - $82.06 /hour
