Certification Details BLS ACLS Job Details ED Holds / Tele position at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Arizona. Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start, through UNA, only (with 2 max attempts). There is also a PASS / FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation. Job Requirements Must have a strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years. Must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physicians’ orders and parameters. Nurses will be caring for more tele patients VS medical. RNs are required to titrate drips. Schedule Information 12 hr shifts (7a - 7p or 7p - 7a). Ability to self-schedule; however this could change from time to time. Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule. Holiday Requirement : Rotate in with the perm staff. Unit Specific Information Unit / Department specific orientation : 2 shifts orientation to Med / Surg / Tele at primary campus. Will be caring for patients from the ER who are waiting on a bed in the hospital. May be asked to help with ED patients including vitals, IV starts and medication administration. Additional Details Common diagnoses / Types of patients : ED holds waiting for placement on a unit, primarily MS / Tele. Charge Nurse / House Supervisor : ED charge nurse. Floating Requirements : Would float to med / surg / tele / overflow units and CRMC / MGMC Eds as needed. Scrub Color / Dress Code : Navy.
