Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient interviews and register patients for appointments
- Verify patient insurance and process co-pays
- Measure vital signs and record information on patient charts
- Prepare patients for examination and maintain exam rooms
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments and coordinate specialist referrals
- Communicate with patients regarding care status and provide updates
- Perform point-of-care testing, phlebotomy, and administer injections as needed
- Update medical records and scan documents
- Answer phone calls and handle mail
- Perform patient follow-up and maintain the reception area
- Handle opening and closing duties, cash handling, and secure the facility
- Conduct daily equipment checks and submit repair tickets
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at the time of hire
