Clinical Coordinator of Counseling - (Telehealth/Remote)
Mercy Community Healthcare has a remote position open for a Telehealth Clinical Coordinator of Counseling. Applicants must be a licensed LMFT, LPC-MHSP or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.

What Is This Job All About?
- Supervises telehealth therapists involved in providing assessment, counseling, referral, placement, and related services to clients.
- Ensures the following functions are completed by therapeutic staff in adherence to guidelines and standards: measurable treatment plans per state requirements; appropriate screening tools are used.
- Confers with staff to discuss the status of cases and concerns, reviews and discusses clients’ progress, and provides technical guidance and direction.
- Ensure that staff prepare comprehensive records, reports, and documentation that comply with state and federal standards and requirements and that billing procedures are followed.
- Resolves problems and mediates conflicts encountered during daily operations, determines appropriate solutions, and promotes teamwork.
- Encourages regular communication and informs staff of relevant business issues and their impact on the organization.
- Develops the performance enhancement plan, documents performance, provides performance feedback, evaluates the work of the employee, and provides reward and recognition for proper and efficient performance.
- Develop and implement training and development plans and opportunities for subordinate staff. Follows Level of Care Model that moves clients from individual counseling to post-treatment groups.
- Responsible for monitoring the approval of PTO, CEU’s, required trainings, peer audits, caseload tracker, and required number of clients seen on a weekly basis.
- Collaborate with the Counseling Director on strategic planning in department expansion.
- Maintains an individual caseload of 15 to 20 clients providing appropriate clinical interventions. Caseload will be determined by the number of staff supervised.
- Other Duties as assigned by supervisor.
What We Need from You:
- Minimum five (5) years post graduate work experience in a clinical setting.
- Must be able to be contracted with most insurance payers.
- The position includes risk of exposure to communicable diseases; therefore, the therapist must receive training on/and then practice universal health precautions.
- Must possess a valid TN license in the following areas: LMFT, LPC-MHSP, LCSW, etc.
- Training in Evidenced-Based Trauma Treatment preferred (EMDR, Brainspotting, IFS…).
- Must have at least one year of supervisory experience.
- Approved Supervisory status with the state of Tennessee preferred.
- Must reside in the state of Tennessee.
- Ability to visit Mercy’s Franklin, TN site quarterly for meetings and trainings.
