Job Summary
A Care Companion provides basic health care and support to patients under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated healthcare professional. As part of our team, the Care Companion is responsible for sanitizing and cleaning patients’ rooms, monitoring patients’ health and vital signs as well as assisting patients with basic needs like feeding and grooming.

Care Companion - Full Time Nights
Job Summary
A Care Companion provides basic health care and support to patients under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated healthcare professional. As part of our team, the Care Companion is responsible for sanitizing and cleaning patients’ rooms, monitoring patients’ health and vital signs as well as assisting patients with basic needs like feeding and grooming.
Essential Functions
- Provides support to the patient including, but not limited to, care and comfort, personal care and hygiene, toileting, and mobility.
- Creates a safe environment for patients.
- Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
- Provides high-level customer service to all patients, patient's family, visitors and all employees.
- Participates in hand-off/report of pertinent information regarding patient and departmental needs upon arrival and when leaving.

- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from the approved source prior to direct patient care)
- Recent experience in a healthcare environment (preferred, not required)
- Possesses problem-solving skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner
- Ability to be proactive in a rapidly changing environment
