Delivers patient care and provides support for unit activities under the clinical direction of a Registered Nurse.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Certified Nursing Assistant, 6 months experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Nurse Technician in an acute care setting or; completion of 2 clinical semesters in nursing school.
Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification preferred.
One year of experience in an acute/ambulatory environment preferred.
Essential Functions:
Delivers patient care and provides support for unit activities under the clinical direction of a Registered Nurse.

Essential Functions:
- Observes patient's condition and progress (or lack of progress) toward defined outcomes, in collaboration with the RN.
- Delivers patient care based on standards of care, standards of practice, and policies and procedures in collaboration with the RN.
- Documents observations and care concisely and legibly.
- Supports unit activities by transporting patients, maintaining physical work environment in orderly manner as directed; answering patient call lights and responding to patient requests; transporting specimens, blood, non-narcotic pharmaceuticals, supplies, and medical records as needed.
- Identifies and seizes opportunities to assist healthcare team members.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
