Summary :

The Shift Nurse Supervisor is responsible for administration and operational activities on weekends, evening and night shifts. The supervisor serves as a clinical resource to direct care staff. Assumes responsibility and authority as delegated by the Chief Nurse Officer / Sr. Chief Nurse Officer.  Assists in the provision of care to patients of all age groups.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Education : Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, Bachelors degree in nursing business or health-related field preferred or actively pursuing degree.

Experience : Five years of acute care nursing experience preferred. 2 years supervisory experience preferred.

Knowledge and Abilities :   Interpersonal skills sufficient to provide effective leadership.  Effective problem resolution capabilities; able to be decisive and deal equitable in all situations.  Able to make effective use of resources.

Registration, Certification or Licensure Requirement : Current Ohio RN Licensure; Basic Life Support Certification.

Hours :

Shift : Nights with rotation

Hours : 7 : 00PM - 7 : 30AM

Hours per pay period : 72

Weekend, holiday and on-call rotation required per department policy
