Duties and Responsibilities:
- Homemaking:
- Clean and maintain the living areas, including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and common areas.
- Assist with laundry, including washing, folding, and organizing clothes.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, adhering to any dietary preferences or restrictions.
- Grocery shopping and errands as needed.
- Organize and maintain household items, ensuring the home environment is tidy and efficient.
- Personal Care Assistance:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the client is safe and comfortable.
- Support with medication reminders and ensure the client’s health needs are met.
- Offer companionship, engaging the client in social activities or providing emotional support.
- Additional Duties:
- Communicate regularly with family members regarding the client’s well-being and any concerns.
- Ensure a safe living environment, reporting any hazards or concerns to the family.
- Maintain a respectful and professional relationship with the client and their family.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience in homemaking, caregiving, or a similar role is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect privacy.
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the client’s needs.
- Certifications:
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
