RN Med/Surg

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and be committed to providing high-quality healthcare services in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Provide direct patient care in a medical/surgical setting
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems for accurate documentation
• Conduct triage assessments and prioritize patient needs
• Assist in case management and discharge planning
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed
• Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment plans
• Perform sterile processing of medical equipment as needed

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice
• Experience in medical/surgical, internal medicine, or long-term care settings preferred
• Knowledge of hospice palliative medicine is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a teaching hospital environment
• Strong triage skills and the ability to handle emergency situations calmly
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract

Pay: $2,100.00 - $2,300.00 per week
