Job Description
Job Title : Registered Nurse
Job Specialty : Medical-Surgical
Job Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Nights, 19 : 00-07 : 30
Guaranteed Hours : 36 or 48 hours per week
Experience : Minimum of 1 year in Med-Surg inpatient nursing
License : Current RN License (Eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed)
Certifications : BLS from AHA required, ACLS from AHA preferred
Must-Have : 1 year of experience in Med-Surg, inpatient only
Job Description :
- Utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient care, maintaining professional accountability.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by the healthcare team.
- Coordinates patient care with other departments to ensure comprehensive care.
- Preserves patient rights and confidentiality.
- Provides direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort.
- Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice.
- Stands and walks most of the time while on duty and may need to meet specific physical demands.
- Significant amount of bending, stooping, and lifting in coordination with assisting patients.
- High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Physical demands include push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
- Provides patient care post-trauma, surgical interventions, and for medical comorbidities.
- Performs duties consistently with mission, values, and service standards.
- Involves working varying schedules, shifts, or days as required by patient care needs.
