Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty : Telemetry

Shift : Nights (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM)
Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week
Experience : 2 years preferred; New graduates accepted subject to interview
License : Registered Nurse License
Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have : Experience with CERNER / EPIC EMR systems
Job Description :
- Provide quality patient care in a telemetry unit.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and heart rhythms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding medical conditions and treatments.
- Adequately document patient care in electronic medical records.
- Adhere to hospital policies, including dress code, and maintain professional conduct.
- Work every other full weekend as a standard expectation unless otherwise approved.
- Be prepared to work at least one major winter holiday : Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day.
- Participate in orientation programs as required.
Mercy Southeast Hospital is a 245-bed Level 3 Emergency and Trauma Center, with certifications in cardiac care, stroke, and STEMI. Enjoy exploring Cape Girardeau's 15 attractions, from nature parks and casinos to wineries and art galleries.
