Job Details
Nurse Shift Manager (NSM) is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for overseeing patient care and administrative activities in their respective department(s) / unit(s).
The NSM will continually evaluate quality and effectiveness of patient care practices and care delivery.
Promotes staffing compliance and ensures safe staffing assignments.
Monitors staffing to achieve productivity and budget standards.
The NSM performs within the scope and standards of practice set by the American Nurses Association.
Job Requirements
Must have direct patient experience within the last year.
Strong charge RN experience is accepted.
No first-time travelers.
Schedule Information
One weekend shift every two weeks.
Holidays : 2 majors and a minor?
Shifts : 7a, 7p.
Unit Specific Information
Tele : Remote tele with monitor techs.
Weekend Requirement : One weekend shift every two weeks.
Floor specific orientation : One shift Cerner if needed and 2 shifts on units.
Additional Details
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
Cerner Required.
Charge Nurse : Nurse Shift Managers do not take patient assignments, also staff a resource nurse to help with tasks and breaks.
