Summary
The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for scheduling patient appointments, answering phones and triaging calls for importance and/or severity. Responsible for all front desk duties including, but not limited to, review of patient demographics and updating information in the computer system, preparing patient charts for daily clinic, copying medical records, processing patient dictation, sorting mail and filling out disability forms, verifying insurance benefits and obtaining appropriate authorizations. Maintain current knowledge of insurance requirements and referrals for accurate billing submission. Exhibits professional conduct at all times and maintains a courteous and helpful approach to interactions with staff, physicians, patients and visitors.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Education and Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-3 years experience, preferrably in a hospital setting
- Microsoft Word, Power Point, Access, Excel
- Microsoft Outlook
- Meditech
- Epic
- Performance Manager/NetLearning
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
- Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
- Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
