The 267-bed hospital offers major medical services including a Level II Trauma Center as well as specialized Cardiovascular Care Stroke Care Orthopedics Neurological Surgery Comprehensive Cancer Care Maternity Care and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. It is the sole provider of obstetrical services along with the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County. In addition the hospital’s network of care includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice and Dignity Health Connected Living. Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse and/or licensed medical practitioner in caring for the clinical patient and providing the best possible individualized nursing care in a timely manner with emphasis on cost containment.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- One (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient medical office physician clinic or OB Office setting. (If operational conditions exist and no qualified candidates apply the employer may consider a combination of education experience and skill in lieu of the one (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant).
- AHA BLS
- Medical terminology ability to clearly communicate and understand English
PREFERRED:
- (2) years experience in a clinical setting
- Associates degree in a related field
- Medical Assistant certification
Pay Range
$23.00 - $24.81 /hour
