Mercy Multiplied exists to provide opportunities for all to experience God’s unconditional love, forgiveness, and life-transforming power. Mercy’s residential counseling program is voluntary, biblically-based, and helps young women ages 13–32 break free from life-controlling issues and situations, including anxiety, depression, abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, addictions, unplanned pregnancy, and sex trafficking. These residential services are offered free-of-charge. In September of 2020, Mercy Multiplied launched its first Mercy Multiplied Center for Wellness and Counseling in Monroe/West Monroe, LA offering free-of-charge outpatient counseling to that community. Our Outreach Services train and resource men and women to effectively support and minister to those who are hurting and struggling through workshops, videos, podcasts, discipleship teaching, and other practical resources.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Counseling Director at our Center for Wellness and Counseling in St. Louis, Missouri.
Compensation:
$30-$33 an hour

To be successful in this role, one must have the following:
- Must have (or be in the process of completing via Internship) a master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the field of Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
- Must be eligible, or able to be eligible, for licensure in the state of Missouri (e.g., LPC, LMFT)
- Basic office skills (typing, filing, etc.)
- Ability to multi-task
- Capable of handling a counseling load of up to 14 outpatient clients
- Able to work quickly and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to be concise and direct
- Incumbent should be able to confront and address negative behavior
- Must be a team player who is flexible
- Able to use sound judgment on a consistent basis
- Must have solid Biblical knowledge
- Must be flexible and willing to stay after hours if a special circumstance arises
- Must have a thorough understanding of, and dedication to, the vision of Mercy Multiplied, along with demonstrated Christian work ethics
Summary of Responsibilities:
Supervision of Center for Wellness and Counseling (St. Louis, MO)
- Employ best practices in counseling, and legal and ethical requirements within CWC St. Louis.
- Supervise Intake Coordinator & Front Desk Manager and counselors in CWC St. Louis.
- Assist other counselors with Prayer Ministry if needed, and document involvement appropriately.
- Regular 1:1 meeting with Director of Counseling Services:
- Notify Director of Counseling Services of any pertinent information regarding in-house counselors and their clients.
- Inform Director of Counseling Services of changes to state requirements that will need to be implemented.
- Consult with Intake Coordinator & Front Desk Manager regarding counselor/client assignments.
- Serves as a member of Intake Committee to review and approve CWC Monroe applicant files.
- Review all client files quarterly to ensure all files are complete.
- Review counseling notes and data reports and make recommendations for corrections when appropriate.
- Report any repairs or facilities concerns to St. Louis Program Director.
General Counseling Responsibilities for CWC St. Louis
- Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the CWC Counseling Manual.
- Counsel with assigned clients weekly which includes:
- Leading each client through the Choices that Bring Change.
- Completing all associated paperwork, including required readings, required assignments.
- Reviewing as submitted by the client.
- Maintain electronic file for each client including counseling notes, confidentiality agreements, releases of information, commitment forms, and all other required forms outlined in the CWC Counseling Manual.
- Ensure that all phone calls and/or electronic communication (emails, text messages, Facebook/social media messages with family members, support people, outside professionals, etc.) are uploaded to the clients electronic file under Counseling - Document Uploads Touchpoint.
- Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings.
- Complete discharge summary within the required timeframe when a resident exits the program.
- Submit praise report and prayer request of clients to corporate team weekly.
