Job Duties
- Perform minor repairs, property maintenance, renovations and odd jobs. Examples include clearing common areas, fixing safety hazards, hanging pictures, putting together furniture or other equipment, installing appliances, minor plumbing, minor construction, painting, landscaping, etc.
- Perform light errands or deliveries associated with moving small equipment or purchasing maintenance supplies and fixtures.
- Respond to multiple priorities, at various locations while keeping accurate records of time and activities to assure accurate profit center charging.
- Provide genuine customer service to managers, physicians, other staff, and patients he/she may come in contact with.
- Follows Mercy's safety guidelines, carries out job-specific safety duties and responsibilities, and promptly reports any unsafe conditions, situations, incidents and injuries.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to perform a wide range of trades encompassing plumbing, electrical, carpentry, security, landscaping gardening or hauling.
- Ability to drive.
- General problem solving and technical skills to solve routine maintenance problems.
- Present oneself professionally and interact in a courteous manner.
Professional Experience
- 3-5 years various experience with general trades required
Education
- High school education preferred
