Pet Care Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a Pet Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate has a love of dogs and can interact with dog Groups of all sizes. This role involves engaging with dogs in a safe and effective manner in an indoor daycare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for all pets in your care.
• Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the pet owner promptly.
• Engage with pets through playtime and exercise to promote their well-being.
• Maintain accurate records of pet care activities and any special instructions from pet owners.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and well-being during visits.
• Handle dogs of various breeds and sizes.
• Monitor and manage dog playgroup behavior to prevent issues and support a nurturing playtime environment

Requirements

• Experience with dog handling or care is preferred; previous experience as a Pet Sitter is a plus.
• Knowledge of dog training techniques or veterinary practices is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their concerns.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs or carrying supplies).
• Familiarity with kennel operations or veterinary technician duties is desirable but not mandatory.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing excellent care is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
