Responsibilities
Implement and monitor Health, Safety and Security Programs. Manage and oversee the hospital's Emergency Preparedness and Environment of Care plans and programs in order to maintain a safe environment for patients and personnel. Assess and monitor compliance with the Joint Commission, CDPH, OSHA, EPA, hazardous materials, emergency response standards, and other regulatory agencies. Communicate Environment of Care and Emergency Preparedness information to management staff, supervisory staff, physicians and employees. Represent the hospital in coordination with community and regional based agencies. Recommend courses of action for managing Environment of Care and Emergency Preparedness concerns and problems. Coordinate the implementation of all HRSA grant initiatives. Lead the development and annual maintenance of the facilities written disaster plans and procedures to ensure effective multi-hazard disaster responses. Participate in the annual review of the facility Hazard Vulnerability Analysis (HVA). Plan and coordinate disaster drills and exercises, including a minimum of one decontamination drill/exercise annually. Maintain all exercise records. Ensure that all facility HCC staff is trained in NIMS, HICS, and other emergency preparedness programs on a regular basis. Include Hospital Command Center staff in all appropriate emergency/exercises.

Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of health, safety, environment of care and/or other related professional experience.
Education:
- Bachelor of Arts Degree in a health related field and/or equivalent work experience.
Pay Range
$36.96 - $53.60 /hour
Salary : $37 - $54
