As a Caregiver at Mercy Works Louisville, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our senior clients. This position involves delivering compassionate, personalized care and support to help seniors maintain their independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care services to seniors, including assistance with daily living activities.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed treatments.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Support clients with mobility and transportation needs as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all aspects of caregiving.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior care or caregiving roles, preferably in home health or assisted living settings.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Strong understanding of home care practices and principles of senior support.
- Experience with dementia care is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks as part of maintaining a safe environment for clients.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is a plus, ensuring client confidentiality at all times.
