Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist-First Assistant
At Mercy Orthopedics Clinic, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist-First Assistant to join our team.
Overview:
The Certified Surgical Technologist-First Assistant (CST-FA) will perform first assistant duties during surgical procedures, maintaining accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team. The CST-FA will also work in the Operating Room as a Surgical Technologist, coordinating patient care with other team members while upholding patient rights and confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
- Perform first assistant duties during surgical procedures.

- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Licensure: Surgical Technology experience or Graduate with a Degree in Surgical Technology or completion certification from an accredited surgical technology program preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years Surgical Technologist scrub experience. Previous CST-FA experience preferred.
- Certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist required (CST). Certified First Assistant preferred (CFA) if not must be completed within one year of hire.
