Overview:
Mercy is currently hiring an exceptional Charge Nurse for the Surgical Trauma 3A unit! This position is for a full time, 36 hours/week, weekend day shift position. Surgical Trauma "3A" is a 33-bed unit, fast-paced med-surg telemetry unit which focuses on adult post- operative and trauma patients. Nurse patient ratios are: Days 5:1, Nights 6:1. On our unit we offer you the opportunity to develop excellent critical thinking skills as well as use a wide variety of clinical skills including:
- Head-to-toe assessments
- Reading and posting telemetry strips
- IV insertions
- Catheter, trach, and ostomy care
- Wound care
- Chest tubes
Eligible for up to an additional $10.00/hour Weekend Option Pay!
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program.
Licensure: Current RN licensure with Missouri State Board of Nursing or current RN Missouri temporary work permit.
Certifications: Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period.
