Imaging Expert Role
The CT Technologist is responsible for interpreting orders, producing diagnostic medical images, and positioning patients for exams. This expert must select proper technical factors on an individual patient basis, operate equipment as directed, and provide protection according to prescribed safety standards.
This role involves assisting physicians in administering enhancing agents and medications, as well as performing CT and special imaging techniques. Proficiency in operating equipment related to all exams performed, the computerized radiology information system, and office equipment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Selects and operates equipment as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Produces high-quality diagnostic medical images while adhering to safety protocols.
- Positions patients for exams, ensuring accurate and safe procedures.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training.
- Acquired experience with capability determined adequate for the position.
- A.R.R.T. registered or registry eligible upon hire, with A.R.R.T. achieved within six months of employment.
- Demonstrated respect for others through behavior showcasing willingness to help, common courtesy, and friendliness.
