Overview:
Assists with the administration of medical records.
•Assure medical records (paper & electronic) are received, processed and scanned in a timely and accurate manner to support patient care, and the revenue management cycle.
•Performs a variety of technical and clerical functions in the HIM department in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Competencies
Attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-starting, independent individual.
Highly motivated and organized problem solver.
Experience
Basic analytical skills preferred
Basic problem solving skills preferred
Basic computer skills preferred
Medical technology preferred1 year in an acute care medical records department or customer service role/ industry preferred
