Job Summary
Mercy Hospital Joplin seeks a flexible and incentivized Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Gig Nursing Program. As a LPN in this program, you will have the opportunity to work on day shifts or night shifts, with no weekend, holiday, or shift requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up available shifts as needed, including 4, 8, or 12 hour shifts.
- Be available on short notice for scheduling.
- Be flexible and subject to last minute shift cancellation.
About the Gig Nursing Program
The Gig Nursing Program does not offer guaranteed shift hours, but rather provides a flexible schedule for LPNs who are able to be responsible for their own scheduling and availability.
Departments Utilizing GIG LPNs
- Medical-Surgical (MS)
- Behavioral Health (BH)
Requirements
Education and Licensure
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current LPN license within the hiring state.
Experience
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience, preferably in Med Surg.
Certifications
- BLS certification.
- IV certification required.
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand and walk most of the time.
- Able to bend, stoop, lift, and turn patients with assistance.
