Overview:
This position will oversee with the daily functions of Volunteer and Guest Services. Under the supervision of the Manager, this position will coordinate all of the Adult and Student Volunteer programs, including the interviewing, orientation and placement of volunteers.
This position develops and schedules events, training sessions and meetings for volunteers. This position will communicate with Departments to introduce, or provide appropriate and new volunteer support opportunities. This position will identify new volunteer opportunities within the Medical Center and offsite locations.
This position oversees the student shadow and practicum/internship program.
This position also oversees all Guest Services initiatives, including destination medicine, hospitality program, Healing through the Arts program and NICU sibling activity room.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven superior customer service experience.
- Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree.
- Other: - Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. - Proficient computer skills. - Professional and courteous interaction with patients, visitors, co-workers and hospital leaders. - Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
