What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant - Specialty Clinic Float Pool position at Mercy?
Monday - Friday
No weekends or holidays!
PRN - Day Shift
Overview:
- The MA will handles patient phone calls, providing triaging, instruction and appropriate follow-up, maintain exam rooms, supplies, equipment and medications.
- Responsible for assisting physicians and nurses in providing patient care to clinic patients under the supervision of physicians/nurse practitioner and the leader.
Qualifications:
Medical Assistant:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.
Certified Medical Assistant:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification: Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA). Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
