Overview: Mississippi Health Advocacy Program Project Coordinator - Onsite
Health policy advocacy. Experience working in a federal or state agency desired

Oversees the implementation of different evaluation plans, ensuring that Navigator program activities and services further the goals and objectives of the programs. Ensures that evaluation activities are complementary to program operations and activities and consistent with the evaluation plans. The Program Evaluation Coordinator also works with the Training Coordinator to supervise and train the training coordinator program evaluation, as well as with other duties as needed. He/She will be a full-time employee of the Health Help Program reporting directly to the Program Director. The Project Coordinator plays an integral role supporting the development, coordination and implementation of strategic initiatives promoting growth, brand recognition, and strategic planning. Position requires organizational, project management, interpersonal, and computer data knowledge and presentation skills. The Project Coordinator collaborates closely with leaders on the implementation of strategic initiatives
Under the direct supervision of the Mississippi Health Advocacy Program, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the project, process monitoring, data collection and reporting. The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for developing and implementing community-based outreach and education as well as coordinating consumer assistance with Health Help Mississippi. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating marketing and communications for the project. The Project Coordinator will work with community partners and Health Help Mississippi to ensure that all community outreach, marketing, and communications efforts meet the cultural and linguistic needs of the population. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for promoting the project on various mediums including, but not limited to social media, print media, radio, newspaper.
The successful candidate has a passion for social justice, systems minded and values a team approach to working. The candidate must show personal initiative and have strong organizational skills. She/he must have excellent communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Experience in development of project plans and timelines Proven project coordination/management skills Strong customer service skills
- Required Education: Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Other:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree and a graduate degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience working in health policy advocacy. Experience working in a federal or state agency may count for part of the requirement.
- Expertise on issues relating to public health is required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Be able to work independently and have experience creating social change.
- Experience with program development preferred
