Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Monitor Technician to join our Telemetry team. This is a part-time position, working 24 hours a week on nights from 7pm-7:30am.
About the Role:
The Monitor Technician will be responsible for continuous surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and providing immediate notification to RNs and clinicians of any changes in cardiac rhythms.
This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Review patient information to determine normal heart rhythm patterns, current patterns, and prior variances
- Work cooperatively as part of a team to ensure seamless care delivery
- Perform duties in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Completion of monitor tech course or passing score of 85% on monitor tech competency exam
- CRAT certification within 1 year of hire
- Basic computer skills and excellent communication skills
