Job Summary
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for pre-operative patients, ensuring timely preparation for intra-operative procedures. Collaborates with staff, anesthesiologists, and surgeons to provide continuity of care, maintaining accurate nursing documentation and laboratory results. Demonstrates competent nursing skills to ensure safe quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assess and plan care for pre-operative patients
- Coordinate with surgical team members for special patient needs
- Ensure accurate and complete nursing documentation
- Maintain lab results and other necessary information
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Licensure: RN licensure in the state of practice
- Experience: 1 year hospital or medical-surgical experience preferred
- Certifications: CPR
- Preferred Experience: 2 years hospital medical-surgical experience
- Preferred Certifications: ACLS
