About the Role:
The primary function of a Surgical Technologist in our Operating Room is to maintain accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team. This includes coordinating the care of the surgical patient with other team members and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carefully prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment is available.
- Coordinate the sterile supply kit, ensuring accurate counts and verifying integrity before use.
- Maintain open communication with the surgical team, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Licensure/Certifications: Non-certified applicants may be considered with acceptable surgical technology experience. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
