Patient Care Technician (PCT)
Assists in the individualized care of patients to achieve their highest level of wellness under the direction of an RN or LPN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain vital signs and document them into the electronic medical records system.
- Assist with patient care needs including meals, bathing, toileting, ambulation, patient mobility, and transport.
- Perform phlebotomy, blood cultures, enteral feeding, wound care, IV/Foley removal, and trach care/suctioning as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., CNA/CPTC, or enrollment in a healthcare career program.
- Experience: None required.
- Minimum Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged standing and walking each shift.
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
