Job Description:
The Laboratory Support Technician (LST II) plays a vital role in the provider care team, providing support for reports, data, and scheduling functions of the laboratory.
This position is responsible for accurate, timely, and effective provision of laboratory support mechanisms, while exhibiting excellent customer service skills in line with Mercy's Signature Service Standards.
The LST II will be required to acquire specimens safely, accurately, and effectively, utilizing professional methodologies while observing HIPAA confidentiality requirements and lab policies.
Responsibilities:
- Acquire all required types of specimens for laboratory testing.
- Provide accurate and timely laboratory support mechanisms.
- Exhibit excellent customer service skills in line with Mercy's Signature Service Standards.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience, or completion of a clinical training program.
