What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician - Faculty Family Medicine - Mercy Ferguson, MO position at Mercy?
Mercy is seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician for a full-time faculty position within their Family Medicine Residency Program as it expands its services to Ferguson, Missouri.
Successful candidates will have an interest in broad scope of family practice in a primary care shortage area and/or Addiction Medicine, Geriatrics, or Obstetrics/Pregnancy Care.
Additional on-site team members will include two family physician faculty and one Ob-GYN faculty. Responsibilities include teaching and supervision of family medicine residents in outpatient and inpatient settings, resident advising, medical student teaching, and curriculum development.

- Approximately 1 in 8-week Inpatient call
- For FMOB physicians, approximately 1 in 5 night/weekend OB call
- Embedded Community Health Worker (CHW) full time providing screenings for SDoH and follow up counseling and services
- Embedded Behavioral Health LCSW, direct referral to Mercy behavioral health services for counseling with a direct line to psychiatry for medication needs
- Dedicated LCSW for needs outside of Behavioral Health
- Ultrasound in house – sonographer available for OB support
- Metro Market – vouchers available for patients presenting with food insecurity
- Fresh Fork – Food as medicine program in partnership with Operation Food Search
- Diabetes Nurse Practitioner appointments available once monthly at this clinic location
- Vaccines for Children Program
