What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician - OBGYN Hospitalist - Mercy Hospital South - St. Louis, Missouri position at Mercy?
Mercy Hospital South is currently seeking a Board-Certified OB Hospitalist to join our established team in St. Louis, Missouri. Our Mercy OB Hospitalist team consist of 5 physicians and an engaged support staff focused on quality patient care.
Clinic duties would include:
- Attractive schedule with combination of 12-hour and 24- hour shifts!
- OB/GYN physician back-up
- No at-home call
- OB Triage managing and evaluating patients.
- Providing obstetrical care for hospitalized patients and managing labor
- Performing vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetrical procedures
- Assisting with cesarean sections
- Managing gynecologic patients in an inpatient setting
Mercy Hospital South:
- Over 1200 babies delivered annually – and growing!
- Mercy Birthplace South, is a new, state-of-the-art suites for labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum needs.
- Level II NICU, is staffed by Mercy neonatal nurse practitioners and neonatologist.
- Mercy Birthplace South is a nationally certified Safe Sleep Hospital
- On site Perinatal Center staff by Mercy Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians
- Main ER undergoing complete renovations.
