Job Description
The Pre-Cert Specialist 2 plays a crucial role in maintaining information flow for managed care procedure pre-certification across all contracted health plans.
This position performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and timely information flow for pre-certification procedures.
- Ensure compliance with managed care health plan requirements.
- Collaborate with staff, doctors, nurses, patients, and managed care representatives to develop effective relationships.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma required
- Licensure: LPN licensure preferred; however, see experience qualification for non-LPNs.
- Experience:
- LPNs: six or more months of nursing experience, preferably in a clinic setting.
- Medical Assistants: two or more years of experience in a clinic setting.
- Pre-Cert Specialists I: two or more years of experience in a clinic setting.
