Overview:
Under the direction of the primary care operations team, the Primary Care Lead MA works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care in a systematic way. The Primary Care Lead MA will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for all patients.
Qualifications:
- Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Education: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Experience Preferred: One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by the clinic. New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training. Coworker has previous documented Medical Assistant experience of at least two years. Must be a community preceptor for new hire Medical Assistants.
- Quality Performance Metrics: anticipates patterns and links to issues and looks beyond immediate problem to the wider implications.
- Required Certifications: BLS.
- Preferred Certifications: Active Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through an approved certifying body.
