Mercy's Primary Care team is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to fill the role of Clinical Support Specialist.
Job Description
In this position, you will be responsible for managing patient triage calls, medication refills, and other clinical tasks as assigned by providers. You will also collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
Responsibilities
- Triage patient calls and respond to messages in a timely and professional manner
- Manage medication refills and other clinical tasks as assigned by providers
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective patient care plans
- Develop and maintain accurate records of patient interactions and outcomes
Requirements
- Active RN or LPN license
- 2-3 years of experience in a primary care setting (preferably)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system (clinic experience preferred)
- Timely and thorough patient triage skills
- Computer competency (most tasks will be computer-based)
- Excellent time management and prioritization
- Adaptability in a new and changing environment
