Overview:
Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures at a technical level, with minimal supervision. Assumes responsibility for procedures performed and completes related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program with completed clinical hours. High school graduate or equivalent required.
Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the state of practice. In Arkansas, a Radiologic Technologist License is mandatory.
Experience: Acquired experience with demonstrated capability for the position.
Certification/Registration: ARRT registry or eligibility required. Registry achieved within 6 months of hire or 1 year in Arkansas.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Technical skill in radiologic procedures, understanding of basic anatomy.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Manipulates x-ray equipment, carries cassettes, selects exposure factors, evaluates radiographs, lifts patients, stands, walks, recognizes emergencies, adapts to stressful situations, communicates effectively.
Equipment Used: Proficient in radiographic equipment, processors, computers.
