Overview:
We are a 30-bed Medical/Surgical Unit. Our patient population includes GI, Oncology, UTI, Dehydration, Pneumonia, COPD, Wounds, and Post-Op care. Our nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 with Patient Care Associates on the floor to help. Our floor’s core values are teamwork and accountability and you will find a sense of belonging on our team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing with willingness to obtain BSN. Preferred Education: BS degree in nursing management or healthcare business-related field preferred.
Experience: Two or three years experience required in patient care. Supervisory or management experience strongly preferred, but not required.
Certification/Registration: CPR
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
